Micron SSDs

Role: Creative Direction, Art Direction, Design, Selector Logic

Goal:
Solid State Hard Drives are becoming more and more commonplace in personal computing. Micron needed to help IT pros understand how SSDs can help out specific workloads in their data centers.​​​​​​​
Solution:
To tell the story and drive users to purchase, we created a compelling white paper that drove to a product selector. The white paper discusses in detail why, and how to start using SSDs in your data center. They were then guided to a product selector where they could choose the particular workload that they’re interested in and tailor their use case based on 5 to 8 questions. The selector then returned the appropriate product for them, including specifications and details on why the particular SSD would be a good choice.
Icon Set & Style Guide:
Building on their brand, I created a custom style guide and custom icons to be used in both the white paper and product selector.

Logic Flow:
I worked closely with subject matter experts at Micron to make sure that the logic for the selector was both accurate and efficient.

Results:
The campaign was deemed a huge success by Micron and was continued for nearly two years without a significant drop in performance. The product selector had nearly an 80% completion rate.
